What We Do
Stakeholder & Citizen Engagement
Building Trust, Legitimacy, and Participation
SocioTech Lab designs and supports stakeholder and citizen engagement processes that strengthen trust, legitimacy, and long-term commitment in energy and climate initiatives. We work with cities, project partners, and local actors to identify relevant stakeholders, understand interests and concerns, and design engagement approaches adapted to local contexts.
Our work supports meaningful participation rather than one-off consultation. We help partners engage citizens, building owners, community groups, and institutional stakeholders in ways that contribute to informed decision-making and shared ownership of transition processes.
Engagement activities are aligned with project objectives, governance structures, and policy frameworks, ensuring that participation feeds into concrete outcomes and implementation pathways.
Importance
Why It Matters
Without deep understanding of stakeholders’ perspectives, needs, and dynamics, even technically excellent solutions fail to gain traction. Engagement reduces conflict, enhances social legitimacy, and ensures interventions are rooted in lived realities.
